Please dress appropriately. 3rd period students had fun blending up delicious, nutritious smoothies
with a variety of fruit combinations. Teams created their own recipes using a combination of fruit; choices included bananas, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, mangoes, oranges, pineapple, blueberries, yogurt, milk, and fruit juice. It's easy to change up the ingredients used to add variety and enjoy your seasonal favorites. Try cutting fresh fruit into bite-size pieces and freezing on a lined sheet pan. Store frozen fruit (and veges too) in a Ziploc bag for later use. This is a great way to enjoy great tasting produce all year long. Lab safety slips are due by Tuesday, 8/20.
(Turn completed forms in to class tray.) This week, we'll explore several essential nutrient categories and discover some tasty snack and meal options. On Friday, 8/23, teams will blend and drink delicious fruit smoothies. Welcome to Family & Consumer Sciences (2019-20)
