This is the last week our classes will have assigned work. Please be sure to do the following in Google Classroom: Complete & submit your Attendance Form by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 15th. Complete & submit the Assignment Week #7 Form by 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16th. Check the status of your assignments in Infinite Campus. Incomplete and missing work will score 1's. Late & revised coursework will be accepted through Tuesday, May 19th. Remember that grades for the quarter will be scored on a 3/1 (pass/fail) basis. Topic for the Week Sauces, Gravies & Dressings Many basic sauces, gravies, and soups start with a roux. A roux is a mixture of equal parts fat and flour. Cook to desired doneness, then add liquid to make a sauce or gravy. This week we'll learn about making a classic white sauce, which starts with a roux and is a base for many other tasty variations, including gravies and cheese sauces.
